The Pathways in Education Conference is a student-led, student-created event designed to support MT students, MACSE students, OISE students, and students from other institutions interested in exploring the many pathways in education. The conference highlights both traditional and non-traditional routes educators have taken after graduating from teacher education programs.

We will host a panel of educators from diverse school boards, roles, and professional backgrounds, ready to answer your pre-submitted questions. Panelists include PhD students, principals and vice-principals, classroom educators, and educators who have built careers through advocacy, leadership, or social media platforms.

This is your opportunity to network, dress to impress, and ask the questions you’ve been curious about. Interactive breakout sessions will allow for more meaningful discussion, connection, and mentorship in smaller groups.

Additional Opportunities
Attendees will also have access to:

  • Free professional headshots throughout the day
  • Resume and cover letter workshops
  • Complimentary breakfast and lunch

Registration
The conference is free for OISE students. A small registration fee applies to University of Toronto (non-OISE) students and students from other institutions.

The full conference schedule will be shared soon, and speakers will be announced at a later date. Friends and peers in teacher education programs are welcome to attend and benefit from this opportunity to explore education careers.
