Annie Chau is the recipient of the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship — SSHRC Doctoral (CGRS D) for 2025-26.

Dr. Marissa Largo (PhD 2018) is the recipient of the 2023 Emerging Leader Award from the OISE Leaders and Legends Awards.

Michael Primrose (MA 2022) is awarded the Canadian Philosophy of Education Society's 2022 Thesis and Dissertation Award for Badiou, Freire, and the Pedagogy of Concentration.

Dr. Notisha Massaquoi (PhD) is recognized by Toronto Life as one of the 50 most influential Torontonians of 2022.

Professor Shozab Raza has been awarded the University of Toronto's Connaught New Researcher Award with a 2025-27 research agreement from the Connaught Fund for "The Revolution in Decolonization: Universal Insurgency in the Global Sixties."

Professor Hayley Brooks is the recipient of the 2022 University of Toronto Award for Scholarly Achievement in the Area of Gender-Based Violence.

Professor George Dei has been named one of the 100 Most Influential Black Canadians of 2022 by Afroglobal Television.

Professor Abigail Bakan is awarded a 2021 research award from the Canadian Heritage Digital Citizen Research Program for "Promoting Social Cohesion and Resilience to Far-Right Disinformation through Adult Disinformation Literacy: A Scoping Review." 

Professor George Dei has received the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ontario Alliance of Black School Educators.
