Robertson and OISE students visit Aroland First Nation, launch teacher placement program

Truth and Reconciliation, an effort to reveal the truths about Indigenous peoples in Canada and move forward in establishing and maintaining respectful relationships can be woven into teacher education programs in several ways. Teacher education programs can integrate Indigenous knowledge and culture into their existing courses, provide opportunities for students.

Fraction Ball: Bringing rational numbers to the court

Fraction Ball converts a traditional basketball court, putting focus on the relationship between fractions and their equivalent decimals. “Fraction Ball can be painted pretty much anywhere or even drawn with chalk,” says University of California-Irvine Assistant Professor Dr. Andres Bustamante.

Robertson launches teacher placement initiative with Aroland First Nation

This year, The Robertson Program launched a new initiative to provide teacher candidates in the MA Child Study and Education program at JICS/OISE an opportunity to gain teaching experience in a First Nation school, in northern Ontario.
